The UNLV Early Music Ensemble - "La querelle/La disputa: The French and
Italian Styles in the 17th and 18th centuries."
Throughout the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, people disputed whether the French or the Italians had the superior music. Come judge for yourself, as the UNLV Early Music Ensemble presents a program on period instruments of vocal and instrumental chamber music. Works by Scarlatti, Handel, Monteverdi, Hotteterre, Bernier, Clérambault, and the mysterious "Monsieur Carolo."

Wow!!! I performed the Russian National Anthem for a boxing match between Sergey Kovalev and Andre Ward at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The boxing event was broadcast by HBO to over 160,000 pay per view subscribers and over 13,000 match attendees in the arena.

Metropolitan Opera Stars Join Opera Las Vegas in Puccini's Madama Butterfly

Inna Los - Madama Butterfly, Viktor Antipenko - B.F.Pinkerton, Daniel Sutin - Shapless & Joseph Gaines - Goro will headline the Opera Las Vegas fully-staged, live orchestra production of Puccini’s tragic love story Madama Butterfly at Judy Bayley Theatre on the UNLV campus.
Las Vegans will also sing key roles: Stephanie Weiss – Suzuki, Valeria Sokolova Ore – Kate Pinkerton & Geisha,
Brian James Myer – Prince Yamadori, Nathan Van Arsdale – the Imperial Commissioner,Trey Richards – Uncle Bonzo.
Distinguished opera impresarios are orchestrating the opera’s production. Henry Akina, General Director of the Hawaii Opera Theater, will direct. Gregory Buchalter, a conductor, and chorus master at the Metropolitan Opera, who is also Artistic Director of Opera Las Vegas, will lead the orchestra.
