Italian Styles in the 17th and 18th centuries."
Throughout the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, people disputed whether the French or the Italians had the superior music. Come judge for yourself, as the UNLV Early Music Ensemble presents a program on period instruments of vocal and instrumental chamber music. Works by Scarlatti, Handel, Monteverdi, Hotteterre, Bernier, Clérambault, and the mysterious "Monsieur Carolo."

Metropolitan Opera Stars Join Opera Las Vegas in Puccini's Madama Butterfly
